Bachelor degree programmes

At Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK), we offer five bachelor degree programmes conducted in English. In the degree programme in Nursing there is also a Finnish language skills requirement. It takes an average of 3.5 to 4 years for a full-time student to study for a bachelor's degree.

Bachelor of Engineering, Sustainable Food Processing (formerly Agri-food Engineering)

As an Engineer of Sustainable Food Processing, you will get a holistic understanding of food systems. In your studies, you can follow the production of food from “field to fork”. You will understand food processing from many perspectives and for different raw materials, like vegetables, cereals, beverages as well as dairy and meat products. All courses in the Sustainable Food Processing degree programme are taught in English.

Bachelor of Engineering, Automation Engineering

Do you want to start an international career in engineering? Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences (SEAMK) is the place to do it. SEAMK's technical education is ranked among top 3 in student satisfaction in Finland for several years in a row, thanks to the professional staff and state of the art laboratories. All courses in the Automation Engineering programme are taught in English.

Bachelor of Business Administration, International Business

The International Business Programme at SEAMK offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Every course in the International Business Programme is taught in English, allowing every student to increase their abilities to communicate in the English language in the corporate world.

Bachelor of Health Care, Nursing

The Bachelor Degree Programme in Nursing prepares students for a career as a Registered Nurse (RN), a healthcare professional with expertise across diverse care environments. Registered Nurses promote health, prevent illness, provide clinical care and rehabilitation for individuals, families, and communities. The studies are conducted bilingually in the English and Finnish languages. The Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach is used to support the development of Finnish language skills. This enables students to work in Finnish health care after graduation.

TopUp nursing education at SEAMK

SEAMK offers an inspiring TopUp Nursing programme for healthcare professionals who already hold a Bachelor of Healthcare, Nursing degree completed outside the EU/EEA. The Bachelor Degree Programme in Nursing provides the means for the student to receive a Registered Nurse (RN) degree.

Bachelor of Hospitality Management

A Bachelor of Hospitality Management knows how to turn food into a dining experience while considering the needs of customers. SEAMK’s Bachelor of Hospitality Management students can use the educational restaurant Prikka, where theory can be combined into practice. Your studies include also work-related development tasks in which your able see how theories are tested in real life situations.
