New students filled the auditorium of the Frami B building last year.

The new academic year got a visible start at SeAMK on Monday, 28 August 2023, when the vast majority of new students begin their studies with the orientation day programme. During the first days, new students get to know their group and their studies, SeAMK Campus and its services, the activities of the student union SAMO, other organisations important to students, as well as information systems and security, among other things. The groups that start their studies on Monday are full-time and multimodal implementations of bachelor studies.

Students get to know the campus and its services under the guidance of tutors.

In total, more than 1,300 new students will start at SeAMK this autumn. There are about 1,050 new students in the Finnish-language bachelor and master degree programmes and about 260 in the English-language degree programmes. The new degree students represent almost 30 nationalities, and the largest number of new starting students are from Finland, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. There are also plenty of exchange students coming in the autumn.

All important information of the start of the studies for new students has been gathered on a web page.
